At Points Event 6, a series of close competitions kept participants and spectators on the edge of their seats. Some of the most exciting battles occurred in classes with tight margins, showcasing the impressive driving skills of the competitors.
C Street (CS) The closest competition came in C Street (CS) between Emily Barbour in a 2023 Mazda MX-5 and Wayne Walter in a 2006 Honda S2000. Emily posted a strong final run of 55.171, but Wayne nearly caught her with a time of 55.205, leaving only a razor-thin margin of 0.034 between them. Ben Credle also joined the fray, placing third with a 55.653, trailing by 0.448. Dean Richardson and Laraine Wilkinson weren’t far behind, battling within a 0.363 and 0.407 margin, respectively.
D Street (DS) Another nail-biter unfolded in D Street (DS) as Thomas Gorman and Thomas Koh squared off. Gorman, driving a 2018 Honda Type R, laid down a best time of 54.951, narrowly edging out Koh’s 55.114, separated by only 0.163. In third, Jay Parcon wasn’t far behind with a time of 55.227, just 0.113 off Koh’s pace. The battle for positions 1-3 in this class was one of the day’s most intense.
Street Touring Hatch (STH) In STH, Jordan Spencer’s 57.196 held strong, but Adriano Cappuccitti and Ray Brake were right on his tail. Cappuccitti, in his 2013 Audi Allroad, put down a 57.815, missing first place by just 0.619. Bryan Carbon in a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was close behind, posting a 44.214 total over his fastest two runs, just 0.794 seconds off Cone.

These thrilling close finishes made Points Event 6 a memorable day, highlighting the skill and determination of the Atlanta Region SCCA drivers.
