Proposed Bylaws Changes

The Atlanta SCCA is proposing changes to its bylaws.

Voting will open June 1, 2026 and close at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on June 15, 2026.

A reminder to vote will be sent to all eligible voters’ email on June 1, 2026.

There are five general types of changes:

  • Correcting grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors (e.g., “electric mail” to “electronic mail”).
  • Removing gender specific pronouns (e.g., replacing “his” with “their,” or “he/she” with “the Regional Executive”).
  • Removing confusing language about the role of a departing Region Executive on the Board.
  • Clarifying that Term Limits only apply in cases where a member is offering to replace the incumbent. In other words, if no one is running to replace a director or officer, they may continue to serve additional terms.
  • Making the keeping of a physical office to be optional, rather than required.
